Chris Aviles is the 21st Century Skills, Technology, and Innovation Coordinator for the Fair Haven school district in Fair Haven, New Jersey. As the leader of the Fair Haven Innovates program, his students combine social entrepreneurship and design thinking to sell real products and solve real problems as they run real businesses that turn real profits.
A few years ago Chris decided he was done with the traditional model of school as he stopped whole class instruction and started blending. Chris is passionate about the crossroads where education and technology meet because he has seen the amazing things that can happen when you tech-up teaching. Chris is considered an expert in Gamification, Game-Based Learning, Passion Projects, Project-Based Learning, School Gardens, Blended Learning, and Makerspaces. He is a Google Certified Innovator, Trainer, and GEG Leader.
